As the Captain of Mountain Island Lake Cruises, you will play a vital role in providing our guests with a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable experience on the lake. If you have a passion for boating, a strong sense of responsibility, and excellent leadership skills, we want you on board!

🌟 Qualifications:

✅ Valid Captain's license (appropriate for the vessel size and operating area)

✅ Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Captain, preferably on similar-sized vessels

✅ In-depth knowledge of boating regulations, safety procedures, and navigation techniques

✅ Proficient in handling and maneuvering vessels in various weather conditions

✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and crew members

✅ Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage and coordinate the crew

✅ First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)

✅ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

✅ Firm knowledge of marine craft communication, signaling and navigation systems

✅ Must be willing and able to work Holidays and Weekends with main need for weekday availability

✅ Must have working smartphone with access to download required applications and provide quality photography and videography

✅ High Integrity individual with high attention to detail to deliver best in-class customer experience

🚢 Safely Operate the Vessel: Take full responsibility for the safe operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety protocols. Make sound decisions regarding weather conditions, navigation routes, and emergency situations.

🚢 Provide Excellent Guest Experience: Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our guests. Offer exceptional customer service, ensuring their comfort, enjoyment, and safety throughout the cruise. Answer questions, provide information about the lake and surrounding areas, and address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

🚢 Navigation and Route Planning: Plan and navigate routes that showcase the beauty of Mountain Island Lake while considering factors such as weather conditions, time constraints, and guest preferences. Familiarize yourself with the lake's landmarks, hazards, and points of interest to provide an informative and engaging experience for guests.

🚢 Crew Management and Training: Lead and manage the crew, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring they adhere to safety guidelines and protocols. Provide guidance, training, and support to crew members, fostering a positive and cohesive team environment.

🚢 Vessel Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the vessel, ensuring it is in excellent working condition. Conduct regular inspections, perform routine maintenance tasks, and promptly report any repairs or issues to the appropriate personnel.

🚢 Safety and Emergency Preparedness: Conduct safety briefings for guests, familiarizing them with safety procedures and emergency protocols. Maintain a thorough understanding of emergency equipment and be prepared to respond effectively in case of an emergency.

🚢 Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, such as vessel logs, incident reports, and passenger manifests. Communicate with management regarding cruise schedules, maintenance needs, and other relevant information.

🚢  Boat Event Staging: Ability to reset the boat to the exceptional standards in accordance to both cleanliness & décor policy to support Season events needs.

💰Benefits:

☑️ Pay: $25 - $35 per hour Based on Experience
